Loads and a suppressor (with YouTubes to boot) leads me to believe it The fact that the 300 BO is advertised by Ruger to cycle with subsonic If you are going to suppress a Mini 14 running supersonic, I'd be looking into a smaller gas bushing for sure. If it could, the Mini would have already made the biggest comeback of firearms history! I would agree with Southern Raider, and thought the same. SUBsonic 556 has always been an issue to cycle on any platform with a suppressor. In fact, the 300 BO version is advertised to run great with subsonic ammo and a can. #Silentstrike subsonic 223 ammo series#"Seriously, as overgassed as the 58x series are, I can't see how a subsonic round and can combination wouldn't run just fine. Oh yeah, SUPERsonic 556 will run fine, but you were talking about SUBsonic , #Silentstrike subsonic 223 ammo plus#I'm not saying that it will, I'm just saying that with as overgassed as the std Mini-14 is plus the fact that the 300 BO version is advertised as working with subsonic rds and a suppressor, I can't see how a supersonic suppressed Mini-14 would be that hard to do. The reason the NFA world might not care is that most AR types hold their nose at a non 'tacticool' platform that you can hang 50 things from, not that it won't work. 223/5.56 aught to be able to be made to work as well. The fact that the 300 BO is advertised by Ruger (with YouTubes to boot) to cycle with subsonic loads and a suppressor leads me to believe them for it. I bet they would work with that special tungsten stuff though. The fact that they are not, leads me to believe that they don't. If a 5.56 chambered Mini-14 could reliably cycle non-specialty subsonic ammo in an unaltered configuration, they would be the darlings of the NFA world and it would not be a secret. I would certainly be interested in seeing if sub sonic 223 would cycle with a can on a mini. Well, I guess one could find out! The Noveske pig simulates the extra gasses like a suppressor if no suppressor is available. #Silentstrike subsonic 223 ammo code#You have a point about the next zip code ejection. The 300 BO shooting subsonic only cycles the action when it's combined with a suppressor. Thats a heavy charging handle/action rod, spring, and bolt to move. With Ruger's pension for overgassing their Minis it's a wonder that a suppressed subsonic. I bet it would be even harder in a mini than an AR to get it to cycle well. In 556 subsonic, the gas just aint there. 223/5.56 loads in Minis as they are likely the net's best site for all things Mini. The OP should check out Perfect Union's Mini14 and 30 section for information on subsonic. 223/5.56 versions will work fine with cans and subsonic loads as well. Because the Ruger Minis, regardless of caliber, are all famous for being over gassed it's very likely that the. Subsonic loads, no matter the caliber have lower charge weights and they can cause incomplete cycling in some weapons. I was concerned about the thread shoulder after seeing a pic on the web of it being a tapered shoulder. Tossing around the idea of getting the tactical one to use with my 5.56 can. My 63 year old father was so impressed that he has purchased his own rifle suppressor for hunting with his. I will never hunt without a can again, and I don't use subsonic ammo for hunting. The idea that only subsonics are useful to be suppressed is typically stated by those that haven't used suppressors or have only been able to use them at a range. Hearing preservation with only ear plugs is the big one for me. There are many benefits to shooting supersonic rounds through a suppressed rifle. NOTE: Subsonic 223/556 is not used by suppressor enthusiasts, that is what subsonic 22 long rifle is for. This includes three centerfire rifles and two rimfire rifles. The strange thing is all of the Ruger bolts actions I've purchased in the last year have had suppressor friendly threading/shoulders. I'm not sure if Ruger has corrected the threading on the Mini 14/30 and the Gunsite to be suitable for suppressors but they have all had problems reported. I had to send it to Class 3 Machining to get the taper replaced with a square shoulder. The shoulder was tapered causing the muzzle device to not stay true to the bore when tightened, resulting in a crooked can. The 582 series Mini 30 Tactical I purchased new did not have a square shoulder for the muzzle device. I haven't altered the gas bushing and probably won't. Semi hosts will have some blowback unless you start altering the gas system, spring weights, and ammo. There is some gas blowback but it varies depending on the ammo. The rifle functions fine and sounds about the same as my direct impingement ARs. I had my Mini 14 Stainless Ranch's front sight moved back and the barrel threaded to run my Saker 556. 12/8/2022 0 Comments Kent calvi underhand throwOther reasons why pitchers cannot show emotion include preventing them from using certain pitches or strategies that might confuse their opponents. Thus, the rule that forbids pitchers from showing emotion during games helps ensure quality defense behind the pitcher's run-down pitch. A batter needs only one good swing at a pitched ball to ruin its movement entirely. Pitchers should never be able to show any emotion on the mound because it affects their ability to make consistent throwing motions. In fact, every rule in baseball/softball is there for a reason. This is called "pitching across the plate" and it's illegal for the pitcher to do anything else when throwing the ball. Is a softball pitcher only allowed to pitch the ball underhand?Įvery other player on the softball field can throw the ball overhand if they like, but the pitcher must always toss the ball underhand when pitching to a batter. It's even said to have been employed by Benjamin Franklin himself back in 1751! Others say that underhanded pitching is just as effective if not more so because it confuses bats and can cause them to swing at balls that would normally be ignored.Įither way, it's legal in baseball and is used by almost every major league pitcher. However, some hitters believe that pitchers should go overhand because it makes it harder to hit the ball with accuracy. This tactic is particularly important for starting pitchers who cannot afford to waste any time between batters getting out of their way and the batter coming up next. Pitching coaches claim that overhand throws stress the shoulder while trying to beat the clock-that-never-stops-ticking by throwing as many pitches as possible within a limited time frame. Underhand pitching was once considered unsportsmanlike but has become common practice in baseball. In fact, he told ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, "I don't know why anyone would ever try to throw overhand." Is it illegal to pitch underhand in baseball? 12/8/2022 0 Comments Shinedown album coversThose two EPs each contained 10 largely acoustic songs, five of which were originals written by Smith and Myers and five covers.Īnd the band as a whole (which also features Eric Bass on - what else? –bass and Barry Kerch on drums), wasn’t idle either. The duo debuted in 2014 with “Acoustic Sessions,” which featured a set of acoustic versions of hit song by other artists. Singer Brent Smith and Myers were especially busy, reactivating their acoustic-oriented duo Smith & Myers, releasing a pair of acoustic-oriented EPs (“Smith & Myers Vol.1” and “Vol. Getting the “Attention Attention” film finished was one of several projects that helped fill the time for Shinedown during the pandemic. I think you can pull the curtain back a little bit, but we don’t want to let everybody know exactly how the sausage was made.” If you have a song that you really love or you really enjoy, and you equate it to a breakup or something that happened in your life and I go ‘This is a song about a ham sandwich,’ I don’t like those things. “We’re not really a band that likes to tell people necessarily what our songs are about because I think that ruins it for people. “I think we did our best to kind of visualize, but we’re not giving too much away,” the guitarist elaborated. It starts in the darkest place ever and in the end, it ends on a song like ‘Brilliant,’ which is so overpowering and upbeat. But it tells a story of kind of the start of this, where you start to kind of the end. Shinedown album covers movie#It’s not really, it’s not a movie per se. And those elements are in the movie, those videos. You can especially see it in the ‘Monster’ video. You can kind of see it in the ‘Devil’ video. “And we got (director) Bill Yukich to do it, and Bill’s kind of a weirder, darker guy. “As far as the movie goes, we did our best to visualize what we thought it was,” Myers said. 1 mainstream rock singles – “Monster,” “Get Up,” “Devil” and “Attention Attention.” The film, meanwhile, was intended to further elaborate on the album’s themes of overcoming negativity and adversity. Last September, the band released a film, “Attention Attention,” which collects the videos for all 12 songs from Shinedown’s 2018 album of the same name and went on a fall tour to coincide with the film’s release. But fans have seen that Shinedown put the unexpected down time to good use. Now two years later, plans for the acoustic tour are on indefinite hold. It was going to be a rare opportunity for fans to see the hit-making group play a selection of rarely performed album cuts from across their career. Spring 2020 saw Shinedown’s unplugged “Deep Dive” tour go up in smoke when the pandemic hit. Strangely when the band first recorded this song, they didn’t like It very much, but just as Its name, it showed that It needed a second chance.Features, Music SHINEDOWN TALKS ABOUT THEIR NEW ALBUM “PLANET ZERO.” It breaks through to almost all of the radio stations. Second Chance sold Platinum, and It is the band’s biggest hit ever. The message of this song is you should live every day like It is your last. This is another perfect song from the 45. The song is criticizing the idea of rebels who don’t do anything and run from responsibility. Resembling Metallica a little bit because Brent Smith, the lead singer, is singing lower and adds some natural distortion to his voice, and It sounds like James Hetfield a bit. One of the greatest rock tunes of the decade. The song is telling the story of a drug addict who is looking to cleanse himself in salvation. This song is the first single from their album Us and Them. This old school rocking tune is from 2008, and It’s a criticism of George W. So It needed to show what the band was all about. This was the first song for their debut album back in 2003. From 2008 this song was one of the most obscure rock tunes. With an epic guitar work that amplifies the intensity of this song, we thank Zach Myers. With the great drumming of Barry Kerch, there is also some swing to It too. This song is a great way to release some steam if you are angry. One of the more calm and shiny tunes of this band. It is to give strength to those people and give them the courage to go to school. This song is an ode to people who got bullied. 12/8/2022 0 Comments Journal entries debit creditThis becomes easier to understand as you become familiar with the normal balance of an account. If you are new to both programs, Biab is probably easier to use than Real Band. These things are certainly worth mentioning to the developers but I wouldn't let them stop me from using the program, they're easily worked around and there's nothing else that does what it does. It sounds like you're not using the program much because of these glitches. For me this kind of thing is standard procedure and I find it a lot of fun. Having a Real Track generate a bar past the end of the tune is nothing to me, I can cut that out, do a quick fade where I chopped it faster than I can type this post. I take tracks from many different sources, prerecorded midi files, Biab generated tracks, my own playing and put them all together with lots of editing, cutting, pasting etc. RB is a midi/audio recording program with a ton of really neat features that you use to record and/or create with. BAND IN A BOX VS HARMONY ASSISTANT VS ONE MAN BAND PROI've been a pro musician for 40 years and I look at these programs to give me some good raw material to work with not to complete the tune for me. To me Rachael, all those things are little nothings but that's just me. #17004 - 03/13/09 03:56 PM Re: Difference between Band in a Box & Real Band? This forum has a lot of experienced people who can help with just about anything. My advice would be purchase the BIAB package that includes RealBand and spend a little time with both. I am playing around with RealBand and it is on my list to move my BIAB songs into RealBand once RealBand matures a little more and works out the kinks. If you're used to Sonar or something, RealBand should give you no problem. RealBand does most of the same but gives you more control over your tracks. With the addition of RealTracks and RealDrums, the sound is awesome. It does have a lot of features in from the years of growth but most are not needed to get very good sounding accompaniment. It essentially generates an accompaniment for you based on the chords, tempo, and style you choose. Depending on how much work you want to do, I would say BIAB is easier to get up and running. 12/8/2022 0 Comments Gog gorogoa freezesOld school point and click games are definitely up there (Monkey Island, Myst) as people have mentioned. By the time a student gets to 2nd grade, he or she is ready to expand their writing skills. But there is good news! In spite of these writing gaps, you can guide your students towards becoming confident writers this year! Not to mention, writing is hard to model, monitor, and assess through a computer screen. The online learning environment is naturally more focused on typing as the mode for written communication – a very different skill than taking an idea and getting it organized on paper. And this makes sense – after all, learning virtually makes practicing writing difficult. Writing seems to be the area kids are struggling with most. “I feel like I’m going to need to supplement our curriculum so much this year!” “Some of my (1st and 2nd grade) students can hardly read or write!” “I can’t believe how low these kids are coming in!” Teachers are very concerned about their incoming class of students – particularly with their struggling writers. #Story planner for writers 2nd grade full#They can use bullet points or pictures to gather their ideas, but this should NOT be done in full sentences and should not take longer than 5-10 minutes. The buzz in education right now is loud and clear.
